Policy Number and Title:

Commissioner's Directive (CD) 718 – Designation of Persons with Authority for Suspension

Why was the policy changed?

Some position titles have been amended to reflect the revised structure of the Security Branch at National Headquarters.

What has changed?

In paragraph 4, the title of the Director, National Monitoring Centre, has been removed. In addition, the title of the Manager, National Monitoring Centre, now reads "Deputy Director, National Monitoring Centre".

How was it developed?

As these changes are of a technical nature, they did not require consultation. These modifications were made by the Community Reintegration Branch at NHQ in cooperation with the Security Branch and the Strategic Policy Division.

Accountabilities?

The Assistant Commissioner, Correctional Operations and Programs, is accountable for this policy. Responsibilities for the various levels at NHQ and RHQ and in the institutions and districts are outlined in the policy.

Who will be affected by the policy?

Staff involved in the designation of persons with authority for suspension.
