Why was the policy changed?
The policy has been amended to meet the recommendations of the Task Force on Policy Review.
What is the purpose of the change?
Technical amendments were made in order to eliminate repetitions and duplications of Corrections and Conditional Release Act and Corrections and Conditional Release Regulations sections.
A principle concerning the communication with next of kin has been added.
The paragraphs from the Interim Instruction on the Death of Inmates and Day Parolees dated 1998-02-24 were added to the CD.
