OPENING PRAYER 2008 God of compassion and tenderness, you so loved the world that you sent your Son to save humanity and to pour out your Holy Spirit. We have faith in your daily sustenance. In this time of prayer fill our hearts with the desire to promote a restorative worldview, and with an openness to reconciliation both within ourselves and with others. We rejoice that all of creation is filled with your Spirit; we pray that each and everyone will shine with your Spirit and thus contribute to the furthering of your kingdom now and forever. AMEN. CLOSING PRAYER 2008 As we conclude this time of prayer, we ask you to fill our lives with the gift of your Spirit that our thirst for Restorative Justice may grow. Give us a charitable heart that we might be artisans of peace and justice. Sustain our faith in this endeavour which is inspired by the death and resurrection of your Son, by his life lived as the grain of wheat that dies and bears much fruit. Merciful Father, grant each of us the Grace to imitate Your beloved Son and allow us to be transformed by Your Spirit of Vie. AMEN 3 universal prayers Let us pray for Peace in the heart of each of God's created, thereby preparing us to be open to and facilitators of reconciliation. Let us pray for and act in ways that promote reconciliation amongst our family members and in our communities and thus be a strong sign of what is possible. Let us pray for the political leaders in all levels of government, in order for them to promote laws that favor Peace and Reconciliation and Restorative Justice.
