| SUMMARY: | In its infancy, restorative justice emerged not only as an alternative to imprisonment but also as a competing justice model that sought to reduce our reliance on the retributive penal system. The goal of this lecture series is to generate discussions about the future of restorative justice in Canada , particularly its continued applicability and limitations in a national context where punitiveness is seemingly on the rise. |
