Definitions
What are they? Research Summaries are one-pagers designed to facilitate efficient and immediate
dissemination of research & reach a broader audience through accessible and comprehensible research results.
Types:
- Research at a Glance
Summary of Research Report or Brief. They will accompany all CSC research publication to permit the sharing of information
in a timely fashion, in advance of the report.
- Research Review
Summary of an area of research pertinent to on-going research efforts and/or organizational priorities (e.g., literature
review; summary of a given article), but not resulting in another form of publication. It permits the sharing of information
that may not have otherwise been disseminated.
- Emerging Research Results
Summary of emerging findings from a research report that is underway that permits advance dissemination of research
that will be of immediate relevance to the organization, its staff, or offenders.
- Research Snippets
Summary of ad hoc requests from outside of the Branch or ad hoc undertakings resulting from within Research
that will not otherwise appear within a Research Report or Brief.
