What has changed?
Following discussions with the Department of Canadian Heritage, new paragraph 10 and Annex B have been added to allow CSC to honour current serving employees whose death was not related to line of duty.
Recently, the addition of June 23 to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism was approved by the Government of Canada. Annually, on this day, the National Flag of Canada and other flags will be lowered to half-mast.
June 23 has been added to paragraph 6 under Mandatory Directed Occasions.
