Commissioner’s Directive (CD) 600 –Management of Emergencies in Operational Units

Why was the policy changed?

Due to an oversight when CD 600 was last promulgated, a technical amendment was necessary to add the Correctional Manager Duty Office to the Recording of Communications section.

What has changed?

A change has been made to paragraph 48 of the Recording of Communications section by adding the Correctional Manager Duty Office as one of the locations where automatic recording system must be in place for telephones.

How was the policy developed?

The Security Branch in cooperation with the Strategic Policy Division made the technical amendment to this policy.

All staff responsible for emergencies in operational units is affected by this policy.
