Figure A 8: Frequency of Public Awareness Presentations

Note. Data extracted from the annual regional reports (2006/07) and National LifeLine Annual Report 2007-08, and supplemented with data from the 2007/08 regional reports where necessary. The data presented in this figure include presentations to the general public, local schools, universities, colleges, church groups, and radio and television interviews.

This bar chart presents the average number of public awareness presentation delivered by in-reach workers by region for fiscal years 2006/07 and 2007/08. The program data is presented by five regions: Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario, Prairie, and Pacific. Overall the average frequency of presentations throughout the regions was consistent for both fiscal years. The Pacific Region had the highest average in 2007/08 completing 12 presentations, representing an increase of 58% from 2006/07 (5). The remaining regions ranged between 5-7 presentations per year. The following shows the average presentations done by region by fiscal year: Atlantic –2006/07 – 5; 2007/08 – 6 Quebec – 2006/07 – 7 ; 2007/08 – 5 Ontario – 2006/07 – 4 ; 2007/08 – 5 Prairie – 2006/07 – 5 ; 2007/08 – 7
