Community Residential Alternatives

The image depicts the logic model for Community Residential Alternatives. Going from the top down, the model describes the initiative in terms of its activities, outputs, immediate outcomes, intermediate outcomes and long term outcomes. Activities for the initiative include providing reintegration assistance to special needs offenders, including assistance in finding housing, help with finances, cooking, emotional support, and other aspects of day-to-day living. Following the activities are the outputs which include a cadre of community tools and resources available to aid in the facilitation of the offender reintegration process. Next are the immediate outcomes, where the overall immediate outcome is increased community capacity to support the reintegration process of high-potential candidates. Sub-immediate outcomes include secure and supportive environment for offenders and enhanced support structure for offender in the community. Following the immediate outcomes are the intermediate outcomes which state that offenders'/inmates' needs are addressed. Finally, the long term outcomes include improved reintegration and safer communities.
