As presented in Figure 5, the most common sources by which victims became aware of CSC services were police services (31%), agencies providing services to victims (22%), the courts (22%) and CSC (17%) and NPB representatives (21%). Also 10% of victims indicated that they became aware that they could contact CSC for victims' services and information through a friend/family member (10%), followed by another victim (9%), a victim's advocacy group (9%), a lawyer (8%), counsellors (7%), and other sources (6%). Less prevalent sources were the NPB website, the CSC website, the media (3%, respectively) and Service Canada (2%).
